Rueda avenida is a rueda structure for 4 or 6 couples.
Similar to rueda llanta you can change partners in 2 couple ruedas (pequeña) or on a rectangular shaped path (grande).
Unlike rueda llanta, no one is dancing rueda por fuera / facing out, and eye contact is possible between the caller / cantante and the dancers all the time. This makes it easy to dance rueda avenida also in a social context, even when the music is louder.
