The Ruedastandard and related lists of Rueda figures have been updated several times, mainly to keep them relevant.
These are the figures removed from the list (since 2002):

el cero Changed 2017 The version previously called el cero is now called cero con giro – because we learned that another version of cero is more common among the Cubans, and we now use this new version for cero.
croqueta y aspirina Renamed 2017 This figures may be called using other commands (enchufla y sacala > siguelo). It also turned out to be a rather home made name, and conflicting with a more common croqueta figure.
vacílala completa Removed 2017 Not very much in use, and does not appear to be a very standard combination
amistad complícate Removed 2017 Not very much in use, and does not appear to be a very standard combination
paseala por Bayamo Removed 2017 Not very much in use, and does not appear to be a very standard combination
consorte Removed 2017 Not very much in use, and does not appear to be a very standard figure
seis y nueve Removed 2017 Not very much in use
la prima cruzada Removed 2017 Casino figure, not very much in use, and does not appear to be a very standard figure
cangrejo Removed 2017 Casino figure, not very much in use, and does not appear to be a very standard figure

… con puente Moved to vocabulary 2014 Not much in use as a specific command. (Not to be confused with el puente and puente doble)
la madre Removed 2014 Similar to foto which is closer to the Cuban tradition, no need for two almost identical commands
la prima semi tia tres, cinco Removed 2014 May be called with combining commands: “la hermana y cadeneta > quédate” or “familia y cadeneta > quédate”
arcoiris Removed 2011 Not much in use, quite difficult and not too typically cuban style
el plato Removed 2011 Not much in use, and very similar to the figure pelota
la rueda! Moved to vocabulary 2011 Not a typical command, more a way of telling people that a rueda is starting
tobillo Moved to vocabulary 2011 More an improvised touch of the partners ancle, similar to other words in the vocabulary
vamos abajo Changed 2011 The command was replaced by to two other commands, to avoid confusion.

  1. adentro y afuera (the lady going in and out of the circle while moving forward)
  2. abajo (tiempo España) (the lady going straight forward)

enchufla con clave Removed 2011 The figure was difficult to fit with the clave in the music
altérnate Removed 2011 A bit difficult, after 10 years the women still didn’t remember this one..
recoge el cabo Removed 2008 The figure was hardly in use
biquini  Moved to vocabulary 2008 Not a typical command, may be used instead of the number 2 in different settings
un giro  Moved to vocabulary 2008 Not a typical command, more a general term for turning
paseala p’abajo Renamed 2008 Refers to figure in closed position (named adentro y afuera today). The command was replaced by vamos abajo due to confusion with the command paseala in open position. (Vamos abajo was changed again in 2011.)
setenta y siete Removed 2008 The figure was hardly in use
Evelyn Removed 2008 The figure was not much in use
manteca’o doble Divided 2008 Split: manteca’o (command) and doble (vocabulary, and later general command)
tarro hasta la tuya Divided / removed 2008 The figure was not much in use, tarro (command) was kept, hasta la tuya was removed
castígala Removed 2008 The figure was not much in use, and was danced in several different ways
