BASIC TECHNIQUE
On the beginner level of casino / salsa cubana, you learn basic technique. This includes elements like
– basic steps
– closed position, open position
– ladies’ left (inside) turn (enchufla)
– ladies’ right (outside) turn (dile que si)
– men’s left (inside) turn, men’s right (outside) turn
– rotation
– transition between closed and open position
and more.
In the RUEDA.CASINO video collection we have videos showing some of these techniques, but we do (yet) have videos aiming at the very beginning of learning casino. In any case, we recommend learning the basics in class with instructors to guide you.
Make sure to learn the basic technique before you move on to learning the various casino figures.

DILE QUE NO
The most basic casino figure in our video collection is dile que no (“tell her no”). This figure is used a lot, so it is recommended to practice it and improve the technique regularly. Dile que no is used in several other figures, and it is also used as a transition between closed and open position.
