• Glesniel Pérez from Havana, Cuba, was active in several rueda groups and later part of the Proyecto Casino dance team at the famous dance spot “1830” in Havana, before moving to Norway some 5 years ago. Today he is successfully running his own dance school Cuba-Norge Dans in the city of Bergen, together with his partner Karina.

  • Cuban dance teacher Yuniel Vizcaino was one of the main teachers of dance school Viadanza in Havana, Cuba, during 5 years before he moved to Norway in 2018. He also has teaching experience for Viadanza in Germany and Spain. Previously been teaching both regular classes and some events for SalsaNor, and is a cherished contributor to the rueda.casino videos.

  • Ariel Montalvo is a very much appreciated street dancer from Cuba, and a favourite social dancer in Norway! He has many years of experience teaching salsa to groups in Cuba, and also with the SalsaNor dance holidays. He has lived in Stavanger, Norway for the last seven years, where he also have been teaching occasionally for SalsaNor.

  • Bernt Rygg is the SalsaNor rueda expert, having dedicated the last two decades doing research and development on rueda de casino teaching methods and inspirational knowlegde about rueda in general, used by rueda instructors and social dancers all over the world. He is the main creative force behind the rueda content (both workshops and social dancing) for the SalsaNor Rueda Congress, introducing new and challenging rueda topics every edition.

  • Founder of SalsaNor, Reidun Svabø, visited Cuba first time in 1996 and have since then dedicated her life to the spreading of joy and health benefits through Cuban dance and music, both for children, teenagers and adults. She has been involved in the development of teaching methods for SalsaNor, and been teaching salsa and rueda since 1995, a few years before SalsaNor was founded.

  • Merete Thorsen is a professional fitness instructor and personal trainer, with more than 15 years experience also as a cuban salsa and rueda teacher with SalsaNor. She is also leading the SalsaNor dance holiday to Cuba every Easter, which makes her a real Cuba expert.

  • Eyner Reyes from Nicaragua was dedicated to Cuban dance and music already years ago in Nicaragua, where he was teaching salsa, rueda and bachata at La Isla Foundation there. After moving to Norway in 2013 with his partner Siril, he has been both teaching and dj-ing in their home town Kristiansand, and have recently opened their own dance school Nicasino.

  • Lisa Ask entered SalsaNor when she moved to Oslo 3 years ago. She has long experience as a dance teacher and performing in show groups, both from her home country Sweden and from living in Barcelona. She can manage the various Cuban styles (casino, rumba, afrocuban) as well as cross body salsa. She is a frequent artist at Oslo Caribbean Feeling and also some times at the SalsaNor Rueda Congress.
