This playlist features music by our friends and long-time collaborators Maykel Blanco y su Salsa Mayor, generously provided royalty-free for use in the Rueda.Casino / SalsaNor video channel. We first worked closely with the orchestra in Norway during a mini-tour in 2019, and later hosted the band for a memorable Sunday in Stavanger that ended in a spontaneous jam session. Maykel Blanco—one of the youngest leaders of a Cuban big band—has shaped modern timba with Salsa Mayor since 2005, touring internationally and inspiring salsa communities worldwide. We’re proud to dance, teach, and share our content to the sound of their music.
