No. YouTube Membership and Vimeo subscription are separate platforms with separate payments and access.
Yes! You’ll get access to all public videos as they are released on YouTube.
However, you won’t get membership perks (early access, members-only videos, member community perks +++ ).

A Vimeo subscription gives you:
- Access to the full library available behind the Vimeo subscription (especially 2018+)
- The best option if you want everything available right now during the transition
Note: Vimeo will be phased out as the transition completes.
A YouTube Channel Membership gives you:
- Access to all public YouTube videos
- Access to members-only content (archived/extra videos)
- Early access (you don’t need to wait for scheduled release dates)
- Extra perks and community content
- You support new recordings and future productions
No. You can watch a lot of content for free on YouTube. Vimeo is mainly relevant if you want full access immediately during the transition and will be discontinued from June 2026.
It depends on whether you want everything immediately or you’re okay waiting a bit:
- Vimeo subscription: Full access to the complete library right now (during the transition – will be discontinued after june 2026).
- YouTube Channel Membership (recommended): This is our long-term solution and will fully replace Vimeo from July 2026, with additional benefits.
All remaining videos are scheduled, and the transition will be finished on April 5, 2026.
Because we’re in a transition period. We’re publishing 1 video per week from the Vimeo archive to YouTube until the transfer is complete.
Mostly, yes. We’re currently moving our full video library from Vimeo to YouTube. Right now, Vimeo is complete, while YouTube is being built up from the archive.
